Gazumping Real Estate, an English Phenomena

The fact that a property cannot be sold under the terms that the sales agreement becomes invalid if the seller can find a better price is a practice familiar in the U.S., but in England, this practice is a legal and widely-used practice (as well as widely-hated) called gazumping.
